I therefore urge you, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to put up vigorous resistance when you feel an aversion to the work you have been assigned to do, whatever that work may be, I hope that for God’s sake alone you will do with great care the thing expected of you.
- Rev. Fr. Mathias Wolff SJ
Apostolic availability is the characteristic feature of our Congregation. We practice apostolate in true sense when we show the goodness and love of God our Saviour to the world in our life and service, says our founder Rev. Fr. Mathias Wolff. Our founder gave us a characteristic Charism to carry with us a continually Adaptable Apostolic Availability. The Society continually tries to understand the signs of the times. We shall be present there, where urgent needs of the church demand our presence for the salvation of mankind.
Our Society was started for the Education of the young women. But according to the charism of our Society, Ever Adaptable Apostolic Availability, we take up the apostolate according to need of the time, place and people.
“The Word of God is my final authority.
It brings healing to every person. Yahweh has healed me and I am healed now”.

We are collaborating with Ghana ministry of health, Ghana health service, Christian health association of Ghana, (CHAG) and NGO’s. We are able to reach out the physically challenged children through Lillian funds.

If God wants, He will do whatever necessary for His people. The sisters entrust themselves to the Holy will of God and work hard to bring Holistic health.
Like the apostles of long ago, so we today are sent out to give an education to the young, to administer mercy, to give and education to poor children. (S.L. Pg.14)
Education is a process in which and by which the knowledge, characters and behaviour of the human beings are shaped and moulded. Education is lead to the enlightenment of mankind. Education is a process which enables an individual to distinguish between the true and false, the good and bad, the right conduct and the evil doing. Education is a process of creation of sound mind in a sound body.

JMJ initiated its second mission in the field of education at Atebubu with the invitation of late Bishop Rt. Rev. James Kwadwo Owusu with the motto of “UNITY IN DIVERSITY”. The humble beginning took roots steadily and progressed into a well-furnished Junior High School over the years with gradual increase in student’s strength and good standard. The school was well established and developed due to committed services of staff and management with their zeal to impart the best knowledge to all eligible children of that area. We also work in collaboration with government, NGOs and private schools.
In response to the invitation of Late Bishop Owusu, JMJ’s third presence in Ghana was inaugurated on 12th November, 2000. JMJ sisters took over the management of Our Lady of Providence Senior high school. It was the concern of the Society of JMJ to reach out to the poor and unreachable in order to give love and service to people around. The spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.
(Lk 4:18)
Social apostolate aims primarily at empowering the powerless, bond slavery, particularly neglected women and children in the Society. Like any other apostolate we also give equal importance to the social apostolate by doing prison ministry, attending funerals of our staffs and baby out door functions. We also take an active part in the parish activities and membership in the parish council and we contribute financial help for the local church and diocese. We do visit families in locality and pray with them and advice them to live a happy healthy life.
